Here is our management team and their background summaries:

Tomás O’Leary - Managing Director

Tomás is one of the original founders of Origina and has been Managing Director since 2006. Tomás spent 3 years with IBM before setting up Origina in 1998. Having served 4 & ½ years as Sales & Marketing Director, he was made joint-Managing Director in Nov 2002 and then Managing Director in June 2006. An honours Business Studies graduate from Trinity College Dublin, Tomás has over 14 years experience in the IT industry and 17 years business experience.

Rowan O’Donoghue - Director of Innovation & Development

With over 17 years experience in the IT industry with organisations such as Digital, Dell, Intel, Microsoft, COMIT Gruppe and Perot Systems prior to joining Origina in 2000, Rowan has architected, project managed and implemented multi-million euro infrastructure rollouts throughout his career. Rowan is highly regarded by our customers as one of the most knowledgeable all-round IT Consultants in the business, and the best technical asset within the company.

Today Rowan’s primary responsibility heading up the Innovation & Development team is the strategic development of new product/service offerings for Origina. Rowan brings solution & service innovation, thought leadership, and business development opportunities to the company. Rowan has been instrumental in bringing the strategic technical ideas forward that have changed and shaped the company over the past number of years. He is continually pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve for our customers, and through leadership and teamwork bringing the company on the path of innovation.

Martin Davis - Director of Technical Services

Martin has been working with Origina for over 10 years and has in excess of 17 years in the IT industry working in Ireland and the UK within the high end server and storage delivery field. While Martin has a broad range of expertise and experience across server, storage and data management, his particular area of specialisation has been in designing, planning and delivering high availability solutions and consolidation utilising IBM’s AIX, pSeries, HACMP, LPAR, VIOS and multi-vendor SAN technologies.

Whilst Martin is occasionally involved in some of the day to day delivery and support, his primary responsibility as Director of Technical Services is to ensure that the services delivered from our Technical Consultants, associated projects and the management & support we provide through our Support desk is second to none.

Martin uses his vast project management experience of critical IT environments, his composure under pressure and his leadership skills to ensure the Origina services and solutions meet our customer’s expectations.

Marc Flanagan - Director of Business Development

Marc has worked in the IT / Telecommunications industry for over 15 years in a number of different organisations including HP, Cable and Wireless and for the past 4 years, Origina. He has a Degree in Marketing and is currently in the final stages of completing an MBA from Henley College in the UK.

Marc originally worked as a Key Account Manager and was responsible for finding, managing and developing some of our largest clients. He was also primarily responsible for bringing in a number of our award winning projects in recent years such as those completed in the Department of Education and Science, Lakeland Dairies and the HSE in University College Hospital Galway.

Marc’s role is now focused on developing strategic partnerships with organisations with whom we would like to work with, in order for them to resell our service and consultancy offerings. These include Telco’s, Systems Integrators and Consultancy organisations who see our expertise in infrastructure design, benchmarking and managed services as being a significant value add to their market offerings. Marc is also involved in helping us build relationships at a high level in the public sector in Ireland and he also works with Irish bodies such as Enterprise Ireland to look at how we develop our international business.
