Data Archiving

Data archiving is the processes involved in moving data that has no longer active to a separate data storage tier (usually tape) for long term retention.

What is it?

Origina have worked with many organisations to design implement and support secure efficient Data Archiving solutions, often as part of an overall data management strategy. We work with clients to design an archiving solution that not only archives data efficiently and securely but also has policies to allow for the deletion of data once compliance deadlines have been reached. This is critically important as in many cases it is a legal requirement that data is deleted after a certain number of years.
